电子轰击加热的六硼化镧阴极实验测量

摘 要: 研制出一种电子轰击加热的六硼化镧(LaB6)阴极。49.2 W的轰击功率就能把Φ 5.00 mm×1.00 mm LaB6圆片加热到1 559℃,轰击加热功率密度为251 W/cm2,LaB6中心与边缘的温差在10℃以内。1 551℃时测得发射的电流密度为3.5 A/cm2. 长的阴极寿命要求气压低于1.6×10-4 Pa. 电子束轰击热解石墨,无LaB6蒸镀钨丝现象,轰击功率稳定。在多次热冲击下,LaB6没有碎裂。该阴极可拆卸、长寿命,可用于大功率微波管。随着温度的升高,实验中观测到LaB6发射面变灰,而且这种变化是可逆的。

Abstract: A electron bombardment heating method capable of heating LaB6 cathode to 1 559℃ has been developed. A LaB6 disk of size Φ 5.00 mm×1.00 mm has been heated to 1 559℃, with 49.2 W and 251 W/cm2 of bombardment heating power. The temperature difference between center and edge is less than 10℃. At 1 551℃emissive current density is 3.5 A/cm2. 1.6×10-4 Pa even lower air pressure is requested for a long life of the cathode. The electron beam bombards pyrolytic graphite clamper, no tungsten filament is coated by evaporated LaB6 and as a result bombarding power is stable. LaB6 did not crack under repeated heat strike. The cathode is dismountable, longevity and can be applied to powerful microwave tube. A phenomenon that the LaB6 surface color becomes grey has been observed in the experiment as the temperature rises, and this change is reversible.
