中世纪暖期与现代暖期亚洲夏季风降水变化特征及其对外强迫的响应差异

摘 要: 利用通用地球系统模式(community earth system model,CESM)的模拟结果,对比中世纪暖期(Medieval Warm Period,MWP)和现代暖期(Present Warm Period,PWP)亚洲夏季风(Asian summer monsoon,ASM)降水及环流场特征,探讨降水对外强迫因子的响应,并初步进行归因分析。结果表明,两个暖期ASM及其子系统降水偏多,子系统降水间的相关程度有差异;变化周期均以年际振荡为主,但具体周期不同;两个暖期降水距平场的主要区别是中国东部东亚季风降水的分布,可能是由于PWP东亚地区500 hPa位势高度异常,不利于水汽向北输送;除太阳辐射外,两个暖期ASM降水对其他外强迫因子的响应存在差异;MWP降水距平场的分布主要受太阳辐射的影响,而PWP降水距平场的分布受到太阳辐射和温室气体强迫的共同作用。

Abstract: The characteristics of Asian summer monsoon (ASM) precipitation and the atmospheric circulation during the Medieval Warm Period (MWP) and the Present Warm Period (PWP) were compared in this paper, based on the climatic simulation results of the community earth system model (CESM). The responses of precipitation to the external forcings and the causes for the patterns of precipitation anomaly during the two warm periods were also discussed. The results show that precipitation of ASM and its sub-systems are both sufficient during the two warm periods. The extent of the correlation between the precipitation over the different monsoon regions during the MWP is different from that during the PWP. The main periods during the two warm periods are interannual oscillations, but the specific periods are different. The main differences of the precipitation anomaly structures during the two warm periods are the different patterns of East Asian monsoon precipitation over the eastern China. That may be connected with the anomaly of 500 hPa geopotential height over east Asia which is against the northward transport of water vapor during the PWP. Except the total solar irradiation, the responses of monsoon precipitation to other external forcings during MWP are different from those during the PWP. The main cause of monsoon precipitation anomaly over Asia during the MWP is the total solar irradiation, while the monsoon precipitation anomaly over Asia during the PWP is affected by the total solar irradiation and the greenhouse gases together.
