掺镍Pt(001)纳米多孔薄膜对甲醇的电催化氧化

摘 要: 采用磁控溅射法在MgO衬底上成功外延生长出掺有Ni纳米微粒的Pt(001)纳米多孔薄膜。通过氧分压调控Pt(001)薄膜的多孔率,对比研究其对甲醇的电催化氧化效果。微结构观测发现,Pt(001)薄膜的多孔率随氧分压的升高而逐渐增加,在45%氧分压条件下Pt(001)薄膜形成三维网状孔洞结构。随着多孔率的提高,薄膜比表面积增大,同时Ni纳米颗粒在薄膜中的附着位点也大大增加,两者均有效增强了Pt(001)多孔薄膜对甲醇的催化作用:在45%氧分压条件下沉积的Pt(001)多孔薄膜上覆盖一层Ni纳米微粒后,薄膜在碱性溶液中对甲醇起到了电催化作用,电流强度高达29 mA/cm2并且得到超过1 000 s的计时电流图,表明掺镍Pt(001)纳米多孔薄膜在直接甲醇燃料电池(dicret methanol fuel cell,DMFC)领域的应用前景值得期待。

Title: Electrooxidation of Ni-doped porous Pt(001) nanofilm on methanol

Abstract: In this work, porous Pt(001) nanofilm modified with Ni nanoparticles, grown on MgO substrate by magnetron sputtering, was studied as one of electrocatalysts for electrooxidation of methanol. By controlling the pore ratio of Pt(001) thin film with different oxygen fractions, the effect of the electrocatalyst on electrooxidation of methanol was studied. Micro-structural characterizations revealed that the pore ratio of Pt(001) thin film increased with the increase of well-controlled oxygen fraction in the deposition ambient. Pt(001) thin film deposited with 45%-oxygen fraction exhibited percolating Pt networks infiltrated with 3D interconnected nano-sized pores. The specific surface area of the film increased with the increasing pores ratio, and the number of attachment site of Ni nanoparticles increased. Then the catalytic effect of porous Pt(001) thin film on electrooxidation of methanol would be highly increased. After coating one layer of Ni nanoparticles, the deposited porous Pt(001) thin film acted as an electrocatalyst for electrooxidation of methanol in alkaline media under 45%-oxygen fraction, a chronoamperogram with large catalytic current of 29 mA/cm2 and current-lasting time of more than 1 000 s was obtained, showing the promising applications of electrocatalyst for electrooxidation of methanol in dicret methanol fuel cell (DMFC) field.
