新型巯基链转移支化聚合法研究初探

摘 要: 通过对氯亚甲基苯乙烯与Na2S2O3·5H2O水溶液的Bunte盐反应,设计合成同时含有潜伏性巯基和可聚合双键的苯乙烯类单体(sodium s-alkylthiosulfuric-containing styrene, SATCS),以SATCS为支化单体、苯乙烯为普通单体、偶氮二异丁腈(azobisisobutyronitrile, AIBN)为引发剂、二甲基亚砜(dimethyl sulfoxide, DMSO)为聚合溶剂,自由基聚合法制备支化聚苯乙烯,从而建立一种新型巯基链转移支化聚合法。凝胶色谱(gel permeation chromatography, GPC)/激光光散射(laser light scattering, LLS)/示差粘度(differential viscometer, DV)3种检测技术测试表明:随着反应时间的增加,聚合物的分子量呈上升趋势,同时表现出较小的流体力学半径和较低的Mark-Houwink方程指数α,且其支化因子呈下降趋势,说明聚合物发生支化。

Title: Primary investigation on new design for branched polymers by mercapto chain-transfer polymerization

Abstract: The sodium s-alkylthiosulfuric-containing styrene monomer (SATCS) was designed and synthesized through the Bunte salt reaction, which could be used as a branched monomer together with styrene (St) and azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) to prepare branched polystyrene (BPS) in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvent. The branched polymers were characterized by multiple detectors gel permeation chromatography/laser light scattering/differential viscometer (GPC/LLS/DV) in THF. It was found that the molecular weight of BPS increased with the increasing reaction time, while the branched magnitude decreased, which indicated that through the radical copolymerization of SATCS monomer and styrene, the polystyrene could be branched.
