二次分歧分割算法用于预测蜡质芽孢杆菌的基因组岛

摘 要: | 基因组岛是细菌中大片段的水平转移基因,一般来说,基因组岛上的基因对细菌来说并非必须,但却有着重要的生物功能。通过使用分割算法,结合Z曲线对已经测序的9株蜡质芽孢杆菌基因组中的基因组岛进行预测。通过分析,在这9株中总共发现了50多个可能的基因组岛,根据基因组的注释信息,这些岛都存在一些转移的特征,其中有些岛中包含的基因对细菌本身的生长或是抗性有着重要作用。通过这项工作,对进一步了解蜡质芽孢杆菌的形态与分类,以及研究细菌基因组的进化有着重要的意义。 |

Abstract: | Genomic islands are large fragments obtained by horizontal transfer in bacterial genomes. Often, genes in genomic island are not essential to bacteria, but they may have indeed important biological functions. In this paper, the segmentation algorithm, combined with Z curve method, is used to predict genomic islands in nine sequenced Bacillus Cereus genomes. Through analysis, more than 50 genomic islands are found in the nine genomes. Based on the annotation information, the predicted islands all have some characteristics of transfer and most of them contain genes play an important role for the growth of bacteria or the resistance of bacteria. This work may contribute to understanding the morphology, phylogeny of Bacillus cereus, and the evolution of bacterial genomes. |
