基于四维光场表示的Mental Ray光照渲染

摘 要: 常用的商业渲染引擎中使用的内置简化光源模型构建的光照环境不能真实表现真实场景中复杂的光照信息,从而制约了真实数据的融合性和沉浸感体验。通过采集二维高动态范围(high dynamic range,HDR)光测图序列,进而建模四维光场结构并对光场信息进行解析,本研究首次实现了将采集的四维光场数据集成到Mental Ray 渲染引擎和对虚拟场景进行真实光照数据的渲染,力求推动真实光场渲染场景的自然和谐交互,增强虚实融合的体验感。

Abstract: Due to the simplicity of internal light models, business rendering engines are incapable of representing the complex light conditions in real scenes, which restricts the viability of synthesizing real light data, thus reduces users’ immersion experience. Based on the analysis of four dimensional light field which is constructed from light data sampled by high dynamic range (HDR) light probe array, we raises an approach integrating the four dimensional light field data into Mental Ray and rendering virtual scenes with real light data for the first time. The aim is to enhance the smoothness of transition from real to virtual scenes and eventually to promote the users’ experience in the fusion of real and virtual scenes.
