基于等效噪声电压模型的抖动发生器设计与实现

摘 要: 抖动在高速数字系统中是普遍存在的,它影响了数字系统的性能和可靠性。因此,测试数字系统对抖动的响应是必要的,抖动发生器则是抖动测试中的一个重要环节。本文分析了等效噪声电压与抖动的关系,并由此提出了一种基于等效噪声电压模型的,能控制如峰峰值抖动、周期抖动等抖动特征的,实现抖动发生器的新方法。该方法不仅能产生具有非高斯分布的抖动成分,也能产生具有高斯分布的抖动成分。现场可编程门阵列(field programmable gate array,FPGA)上的时序仿真验证了该方法的有效性,并能满足设计要求。基于等效噪声电压模型的抖动发生器可以用于抖动容差的测试和抖动传输函数的测量。

Abstract: The existence of jitter affects the digital systems� performance and reliability. Hence, it is necessary to test jitter�s impact on the digital system. Jitter generator, which is a part of jitter test system, is indispensable. The relationship between the equivalent noise voltage and jitter has been analyzed, and a novel method has been designed to realize the jitter generator based on the equivalent noise voltage model, which can control most of the characteristics of the jitter, and generate not only the non-Gaussian distributed jitter component, but also the Gaussian distributed jitter componet. The timing simulation on FPGA proved that this method is efficient and can meet the system�s requirement. This jitter generator based on equivalent noise voltage model can be uesd in jitter tolerance test and jitter transfer function measurement.
