核内夸克分布与轻子-核DIS过程中的核效应

摘 要: 通过分析高能轻子与原子核的深度非弹性散射(deep inelastic scattering, DIS)实验数据,可以清楚地了解核环境对夸克-胶子部分子分布函数的影响,从而较好地抽取出束缚核子中的部分子分布函数。精确的束缚核子部分子分布函数可以用来更好地解释未来相对论重离子对撞机(relativistic heavy ion collider, RHIC)和大型强子对撞机(large hadron collider, LHC)上获得的核-核和质子-核碰撞的实验结果以及确定标准模型中的弱电参数,洞悉中微子的质量和混合等。在改进的核密度模型基础之上,通过拟合大量深度非弹性散射实验数据,得到推广的夸克分布核效应参数公式,利用其进行理论计算,能够很好地解释深度非弹性散射实验中0.001≤x≤0.950区域内A≥3的各种核效应实验数据,推广的夸克分布核效应参数公式的合理性得到了检验,加深了对夸克分布受核环境影响的认识,但其有效性还需要用更多核效应实验数据来进一步检验和修正。

Title: Quark distributions in nuclei and nuclear effect on l-A DIS process

Abstract: Due to the analysis of the experimental data on deep inelastic lepton-nucleus scattering (l-A DIS), the nuclear effect on the nuclear parton distribution, parton distribution functions (PDF) in nuclei can be well extracted. These accurately determined PDFs are valuable in interpreting the experimental results in nucleus-nucleus and proton-nucleus interactions at relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC) and large hadron collider (LHC), and in determining electro-weak parameters and understanding the neutrino mass and neutrino mixing and so forth. In this paper, extended nuclear effect parameter formulae on quark distributions in nuclei are obtained by fitting a large amount of experimental data on l-A DIS process on the basis of an improved nuclear density model. The experimental data on l-A DIS processes with A≥3 in the region 0.001≤x≤0.950 are quite satisfactorily described by using the extended formulae. Our knowledge on the influence of nuclear matter on the quark distributions is deepened. But the effectiveness of the extended nuclear effect parameter formulae is still need to be further tested and corrected by more experimental data.
