基于EAP的异构网络切换协同认证机制

摘 要: 异构无线融合网络中,在移动设备发生切换过程中,接入系统时的认证过程会带来严重时延问题,甚至会造成通信中断。在研究了最新的EAP重认证(EAP re-authentication,ER)机制及其相关密钥管理机制的基础上,通过对跨域认证所存在的问题进行深入分析,提出一种具有ER性能优势的新型EAP预认证(EAP pre-authentication,EP)方法,并结合这两种机制,对域内切换和域间切换的认证过程首次提出一种联合协调的认证策略,通过对比现有扩展认证协议(extensible authentication protocol,EAP)方法的开销,证明所采用的机制减少了切换过程中的认证信令开销,降低了切换的总体时延。

Title: A synergy heterogeneous handover authentication mechanism based on extended EAP

Abstract: In the heterogeneous wireless network environment, when the mobile node handovers in the network, the authentication process will bring about a serious delay to the communication, even cause interruption. Based on the latest EAP re-authentication mechanism and its related key management framework, and by analysis on the problem of cross-domain authentication, a new EAP pre-authentication mechanism is proposed, which contains the strong advantage of the EAP re-authentication. Considering the combination of these two mechanisms, a synergy authentication strategy used in both intra-domain handover and inter-domain handover is also proposed in this paper. Comparing with the existed EAP methods, this synergy strategy reduces the authentication signaling overhead and the total delay in handover process.
