水溶液性质对蒙脱石悬浮液颗粒团聚行为的影响

摘 要: 研究NaCl和CaCl2 2种电解质加入量对蒙脱石悬浮液Zeta电位和粒度分布的影响,并从微观角度分析Zeta电位、粒度分布与悬浮液颗粒的分散—团聚行为之间的相互关系。实验结果表明:蒙脱石悬浮液的Zeta电位并非简单地随电解质增加呈线性变化,而是在零电点附近发生剧烈波动,分析其原因可能是悬浮液颗粒在零电点附近出现了较为明显的分散—团聚—再分散过程,团聚或分散过程又反过来影响悬浮液的Zeta电位和粒度分布。蒙脱石颗粒的膨胀和收缩也在一定程度上影响悬浮液的Zeta电位和粒度分布。

Abstract: The effects of NaCl and CaCl2 electrolytes on Zeta potential and size distribution of montmorillonite suspensions were investigated. Then the relationship among zeta potential, size distribution and aggregation-dispersion of montmorillonite particles were analyzed from the view of microscopic point. The experimental results showed that the Zeta potential was not a simple linear relationship increasing with the electrolyte amount increasing, but oscillated violently near the point of zero charge. This abnormal variation of Zeta potential might be induced from the processes of dispersion-aggregation-dispersion again around the point of zero charge, and dispersion-aggregation processes could affect Zeta potential and size distribution of suspensions. Furthermore, the processes of expansion and contraction of montmorillonite particles could also affect the Zeta potential and particle size distribution of montmorillonite suspensions in a certain extent.
