旋转速度对铣刀周围空气流场特性的影响

摘 要: 利用计算流体动力学(computational fluid dynamics,CFD)研究微量润滑(minimum quantity lubrication,MQL)条件下旋转速度对铣刀周围空气流场特性的影响。首先对分析区域进行几何建模,确定该分析模型的控制方程、边界条件等;然后对铣刀施加不同的旋转速度,得到不同条件下铣刀周围的空气流场特性。分析表明:高速旋转的铣刀会在其周围形成一个封闭的“环形”区域,其半径随旋转速度的提高而增大;同时,高速旋转的铣刀会造成刀具后刀面和已加工表面之间的空气压强增大。封闭的“环形”区域和刀具/工件界面压强的增大都会阻碍油-气混合物进入切削区,降低其冷却润滑作用。

Title: Effect of milling cutter�s rotational speed on surrounding air flow field

Abstract: In the present research, the effect of rotational speed on the fluid dynamics of the milling cutter�s surrounding air flow filed under minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) cutting condition is carried out by means of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology. Firstly, the geometric model for the analysis region is established and the governing equations and boundary conditions of the finite element model are determined. Secondly, the fluid dynamics of the milling cutter�s surrounding air flow filed under different rotational speeds are investigated. The analysis results indicate that the milling cutter rotating at high speed can generate a closed ‘ring’ zone surrounding the cutting tool, and the radius of the closed ‘ring’ will increase with the increase of the rotational speed. In addition, the air pressure at the tool/workpiece contact area will increase when the milling cutter rotates at high speed. As a result, the closed ‘ring’ zone surrounding the milling cutter and the increased pressure at the tool/workpiece interface both obstruct the way of the cutting medium towards the cutting zone, and thus weaken the cooling and lubrication effects of the oil-air mixture.
