基于分布参数模型的VSC-HVDC输电线路单端故障定位

摘 要: 提出一种非行波原理的电压源换流器型高压直流(voltage source converter high voltage direct current, VSC-HVDC)输电线路单端故障测距方法。由于VSC-HVDC线路两端并联的电容器值很大,线路故障瞬间电容电压不会发生突变,在假设故障定位期间线路对端电压为正常运行时电压的情况下,基于分布参数模型,利用本端电压、电流计算沿线电压、电流分布。根据沿线电压、电流分布计算过渡电阻,并根据故障点处过渡电阻值方差最小确定故障位置。经电力系统计算机辅助设计(power system computer aided design, PSCAD)仿真和Matlab算法验证,该定位方法可以实现线路10%~90%范围内的准确故障定位,有一定的耐过渡电阻能力。该方法在时域中进行,具有数据窗短、计算量小、对采样频率要求不高的特点。

Title: One-terminal fault location for VSC-HVDC transmission lines on the basis of the distributed parameter model

Abstract: A novel one-terminal fault location method which is different from those based on the travelling wave theory is proposed for voltage source converter high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) transmission lines. Due to the high-capacity capacitors connected to both terminals of the VSC-HVDC transmission lines, the capacitor voltage will not change immediately when fault happens to the transmission lines. Therefore, the voltage of the opposite terminal to the local terminal is considered as the voltage of normal state during the fault location. Based on the distributed parameter model, the voltage and current distributions can be calculated using the voltage and current measured in the local terminal. According to the calculated distribution of voltage and current over the line, transition resistor can be computed and the fault can be located according to the principle that the variance of the calculated transition resistor is minimum at the fault point. By simulations in power system computer aided design (PSCAD) and analysis in Matlab, the fault which happens to 10%-90% of the VSC-HVDC transmission lines can be located quickly and accurately. The algorithm, which is performed in time domain, needs a very short data window and can achieve satisfactory accuracy with little need of high sample frequency.
