不同植被指数抵抗土壤背景噪声及探测植被覆盖能力的对比分析

摘 要: 以干旱区的甘肃省河西地区中段高台县为例选择研究样区,以TM遥感影像为数据源,对归一化植被指数(normalized difference vegetation index,NDVI)、土壤调节植被指数(soil-adjusted vegetation index,SAVI)、修正型土壤调节植被指数(modified soil-adjusted vegetation index,MSAVI)、全球环境监测指数(global environment monitoring index,GEMI)、绿度植被指数(green NDVI,GNDVI)和差值植被指数(enhanced vegetation index,EVI )6种植被指数降低土壤噪声的能力和探测植被覆盖度的能力进行了对比研究。以NDVI为基础,采用像元二分模型,计算各样区的植被覆盖度,分别建立了不同植被指数提取植被信息时的植被-土壤噪声比与植被覆盖度模型。结果显示,GEMI 在提取植被信息时土壤噪声的影响最小,其次为GNDVI,另外4种植被指数反映不明显;在此基础上又对比研究了不同植被指数探测植被能力,结果表明,NDVI探测植被能力最强,其次为GNDVI,其他各指数在不同植被覆盖区变化不大。因此,GNDVI在降低土壤背景影响效果和探测植被能力相对较强,为提取植被信息最适宜的植被指数,其次为NDVI和GEMI.

Title: A comparative study on different vegetation indices in capabilities for eliminating soil background noise and detecting vegetation coverage

Abstract: The capabilities for eliminating soil background noise and the capabilities for detecting vegetation coverage of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), soil-adjusted vegetation index (SAVI), modified soil-adjusted vegetation index (MSAVI), global environment monitoring index (GEMI), green NDVI (GNDVI) and enhanced vegetation index (EVI) were compared and analysised, based on the spectrum TM image in Gaotai locating at the middle of Hexi region of arid areas in Gansu province. The NDVI was used to estimate the vegetation coverage of different sample area by using the dimidiate pixel model. The model of ratio of vegetation signal to soil noise and vegetation coverage based on different vegetation index was established. The results showed that, GEMI was more slightly influenced from soil noise than other VI, followed by GNDVI, other four vegetation indexes were not obvious. In addition, the capabilities for vegetation coverage of different vegetation indices were compared. We found that, NDVI and GNDVI took the first and the second positions in capabilities for detecting vegetation coverage and other index changed little. Therefore, GNDVI should be relatively suitable vegetation index, secondly for NDVI and GEMI.
