镍钛形状记忆合金管接头等温精密挤压成形有限元模拟

摘 要: 为满足某型飞机镍钛形状记忆合金(shape memory alloy,SMA)管接头国产化的迫切需求,提出了采用等温精密挤压成形实现镍钛SMA管接头精确制造的新方法。通过采用刚粘塑性有限元法(finite element method,FEM)对镍钛SMA管接头进行了等温精密挤压成形模拟,获得了管接头在挤压成形过程中的应力应变分布规律、挤压力随行程的变化规律和金属流动规律。结果表明:管接头在挤压成形过程中的金属流动并不对称,先以反向挤压为主。整个挤压过程可分为镦挤阶段、填充阶段和终了阶段3个阶段,3个阶段的挤压力依次升高。根据管接头挤压过程中坯料内部的变形情况,可以将整个管接头分为5个区,即已变形区、难变形区、剧烈变形区、待变形区和过渡区,其中剧烈变形区是管接头成形过程中流动金属的主要来源。

Title: Finite element simulation of isothermal precision extrusion of NiTi shape memory alloy pipe coupling

Abstract: In order to satisfy the urgent need in localization of NiTi shape memory alloy (SMA) pipe coupling which is used in a certain type of aircraft, a new method that can realize the precision manufacturing of NiTi SMA pipe coupling, called isothermal precision extrusion, was proposed in the paper. The isothermal precision extrusion of the NiTi SMA pipe coupling was simulated by means of rigid-viscoplastic finite element method (FEM), and the distribution regularity of stress and strain, the trend of the extrusion force versus stroke and the law of metal flow during extrusion process of the pipe coupling were obtained. The results show that metal flow during the extrusion process of the pipe coupling is not symmetrical, which is dominated by inverted extrusion firstly. The total process of the extrusion can be divided into three stages which include upset-extruding stage, filling stage and ending stage, and the extrusion force during the three stages rises in turn. According to the deformation situation of the billet during the extrusion, the pipe coupling can be divided into five zones which include the deformed zone, the stagnant zone, the severe deformation zone, the pending zone and the transition zone, where the severe deformation zone is the primary source of the flowing metal during forming process of the pipe coupling.
