一种面向游戏仿真引擎的并行视频播放插件系统设计

摘 要: 对硬件和软件系统进行充分分析,以找到多视频播放过程中导致帧率下降的主要原因,并在此基础上从软件架构优化角度来提高帧率。实验基于CryEngine3 视频播放插件,通过对插件系统并行设计,最终在同时播放40 个视频时由原来的16 f/s 提高到平均54 f/s. 同时,软件系统的优化使得在复杂模型设计中提升硬件配置更有意义,为实现大规模虚拟舞台设计提供了保障。

Abstract: Based on full analyses of both software and hardware, some experiments are made to find the main reason of the frame rate drops during video playback. The methods for optimizing video player plugins in software architecture are provided, i. e. parallel processing. After the optimization of CryEngine3 video player plugin, the frame rate is improved from 16 f/s to 54 f/s while playing 40 videoes at the same time, and the software system optimization enables the further improvement of the hardware to be significant in complicated model designs, which makes the establishment of large scale virtual stage become true.
