基于惠更斯原理光纤放大器的光增益研究

摘 要: 结合平方律光纤内部模式特点,以受激辐射最新观点即受激辐射光位相超前π/2作为依据,重新解释单模光纤放大器的光放大过程。用单模光纤内基模的自洽性质,研究光纤内大量铒离子的受激辐射叠加情况。同时,对长光纤正向受激辐射和反向受激辐射的强度进行对比研究,解释光纤放大器的正向放大特征。通过分析得知,虽然光纤内单个铒离子的位相是超前的,但是大量离子的受激辐射光叠加后与入射光状态相同。本文验证了受激辐射的最新观点可以应用在光纤内,同时为研究光纤放大器和光纤激光器提供了新的方法,也为研究光通信、光纤传感提供了理论支持。

Title: Study on the optical gain of fiber amplifier based on Huygens principle

Abstract: Combining with characteristics of modes in a square-law optical fiber, based on the new opinion that the phase of the stimulated radiation is π/2 advanced, the amplification process in single-mode optical fiber amplifiers is explained. Using the self-consistent property of the fundamental mode, the stimulated radiation superposition of the extensive erbium ions in the optical fiber is studied. At the same time, the strengths of the forward and the backward stimulated radiations in a long fiber are compared. The forward amplification characteristic of optical fiber amplifiers is explained. The analysis shows that although the phase of the simulated radiation of a single erbium particle is advanced, the stimulated radiation light after superposition of extensive particles has the same state as that of the incident light. In this paper, the new opinion about stimulated radiation is verified to be applicable to radiation in optical fibers. This provides a new method for the study of optical fiber amplifiers and lasers and also provides a theoretical support to the study of optical fiber sensing and communications.
