北京2017年春季雾霾天气PM2.5中碳细颗粒的显微结构

摘 要: 利用场发射电子显微镜[扫描电子显微镜(scanning electron microscope,SEM)和透射电子显微镜(transmission electron microscope,TEM)]对2017年3月中旬北京市区轻雾霾污染天气下采集的PM2.5颗粒进行观察和研究,重点研究和分析烟尘集合体中碳细颗粒的形态特征,发现了两种不同类型的碳细颗粒。同时,对碳和无机颗粒之间的物理结合进行观察和分析,并结合扫描透射电子显微镜(scanning transmission electron microscopy,STEM)和能谱(energy dispersive spectrum,EDS)分析碳细颗粒包裹或承载的超细颗粒。研究结果表明,作为PM2.5主要组成部分的烟尘集合体中碳细颗粒的微观结构信息可揭示其来源和老化过程,与碳细颗粒结合的无机颗粒的尺寸随着碳细颗粒老化时间的延长而变得更为细小。本研究可为北京雾霾的形成和防治提供重要和有益的参考。

Title: Microstructure of fine carbon particles from the PM2.5 in fog and haze in Beijing at the spring of 2017

Abstract: PM2.5 in light fog and haze day in Beijing downtown in mid-March 2017 was collected and observed by field emission electron microscope [including scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM)]. The microstructure of fine carbon particles in the soot aggregates was intensively observed and analyzed. And two kinds of fine carbon particles with different morphology were demonstrated. Meanwhile, the physical combination between carbon and inorganic particles were also observed and analyzed. By scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), the analysis included that the carbon particle could be coating over larger inorganic particles or be sporting ultra fine particles. The results showed that, as the main components of PM2.5, the microstructure of fine carbon particles in soot aggregates could be used to trace their source and to determine their aging process. The longer the aging time of fine carbon particles was, the finer the size of the inorganic particles combined with fine carbon particles would be. This study could be a valuable contribution or an important reference for research on the occurring and prohibiting of fog and haze in Beijing.
