单层时域快速多极子算法

摘 要: 单层时域快速多极子(fast multipole time domain,FMTD)算法是一种精度可控、具有低计算复杂度的可用于加速时域积分方程(time domain integral equation,TDIE)求解的时域快速算法。该算法首先将源信号截断为有限长度的子信号,以子信号为载体进行离散傅里叶变换得到信号频谱,在各个频率上采用静态或动态快速多极子算法进行加速计算,最后使用傅里叶逆变换及时间窗得到时域结果。通过算例验证了单层FMTD算法的精度,分析了计算和存储复杂度,还讨论了单层FMTD算法与其他时域快速算法的区别和联系。

Abstract: The single-level fast multipole time domain (FMTD) algorithm is a time domain fast algorithm with controllable accuracy and low computational complexity, which is used for accelerating the solution of time domain integral equation (TDIE). Firstly, FMTD algorithm truncates the source temporal signal into sub-signals with finite length, then transforms the sub-signal as a carrier to frequency domain by discrete Fourier transform. The static or dynamic fast multipole method is adopted to speed up the evaluation on different frequencies. Finally, the time domain results are obtained by inverse discrete Fourier transform and a temporal window. The numerical results show the accuracy of single-level FMTD algorithm. The computational and memory complexity are also addressed. The difference and relation of single-level FMTD algorithm with other time domain fast algorithms are also discussed.
